About the Role
Salary.com is competitively positioned as a leading enterprise resource for compensation data, software, consulting and education. This is a hands-on position reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, requiring a high level of technical accounting excellence and experience as well as insightful financial analysis skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to grow with a pioneering SaaS leader.

A Day in the Life
- Prepare a comprehensive set of GAAP based financial statements on a timely monthly basis.
- Maintain a documented set of accounting policies and procedures that are in place and complied with.
- Ensure revenue recognition policy is current and is applied appropriately and consistently including the integrity of the Contract Monthly Recuring Revenue (CMRR) dashboard.
- Sales commission computation and related GAAP Deferred Cost and Amortization.
- Compute various debt covenants on a timely basis.
- Recommend and be responsible for KPI’s and benchmarks with which to measure company performance.
- Work with departmental heads to create annual budget and prepare monthly variance analysis report.
- Prepare rolling 91-day cash forecast.
- Coordinate and be responsible for annual audit and 401K audit.
- Special Projects as required.
- Manage a worldwide team of over ten staff members.
Requirements
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of 15 years of progressively more responsibilities.
- Previous public accounting, CPA, and software company experience is required.
- Candidates must strive for personal technical excellence, have entrepreneurial out-of-the-box thinking and behavior, and possess courage, confidence and conviction.
- Sage Intacct and Salesforce experience is desired.
- High level of competence in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strive for their personal best each day.
