Workstate seeks DevOps engineers with experience working in enterprise mode, facility with Jenkins and Docker, and perhaps some interest or experience in AWS and Big Data technologies, particularly Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, etc.
We seek consultants who can engage with and motivate our clients beyond hands-on keyboard, both diving into the work of the moment, while envisioning a project's future. Our consultants are quick on their feet, able to make fast, informed and smart decisions to save or propel client’s initiatives and champion their vision. This is a full-time position, available to U.S. residents who are eligible to work for any employer without need for visa sponsorship or transfer.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a DevOps and/or software engineer in a professional environment
- Experience with distributed job runners like Jenkins
- Comfort with Unix and/or Linux system use and administration (sudo rm -rf . /)
- Familiarity with virtualization amp; cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP, VMWare
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.
- Eagle eyes for parsing logs to identify and resolve problems that arise
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with scripting languages and automation of processes
- Strong communication, interpersonal and teaming skills, including the ability to work effectively in agile / scrum environment.
- Demonstrated interest and ability to quickly learn new technologies
