Technical Product Manager - Platform

As technical product manager / product owner you will own the product design, strategy, and roadmap for core platform features for data management, ETL processes, compliance features, and security controls. This will be a key role that will drive the continuous maturity of key common platform features. You will work collaboratively with our engineering team to ensure alignment on product development and execution. This is a highly visible role that will interact with executives, cross organizationally, and with our customers. The ideal candidate has strong technical depth building modern cloud data platforms at scale.

• Dive deep into our Tetra Data Platform leading product effort and scrum team for areas shared by the entire platform. This includes setting vision for core components such as logging, alerting, identity, configuration, compliance, and access controls.
• Work with leadership, customer consulting, engineering, and system architects to capture use cases and feature requests and to organize them into prioritized user stories with reliable acceptance criteria.
• Translate customer use cases and feature requests to technical requirements for various components of the platform.
• Decompose complex use cases and technical requirements into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for your engineering team.
• Own and deliver customer facing interfaces (UX and APIs) by producing detailed definitions of their use cases, technical requirements, documentation, and design. Ability to design and communicate customer facing UX using mockup tools.
• Partner closely with your counterparts in engineering to take your vision and ideas and turn them into reality.
• Be comfortable working with a globally dispersed team, in various time zones.

Requirements

Must Have:

• Product Experience: 5+ years in technical product management for large scale cloud software.
• Technical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively debate and communicate technical solutions. Prefer someone with a software engineering background in one or more of the following: log/events mgmt, identity/authentication/authorization/SSO, audit/reporting, and compliance.
• Strong Communicator. You communicate clearly and persuasively in multiple mediums with peers, engineers, designers, stakeholders, and customers.
• Outcome Focused. Ability to define, monitor, and optimize KPIs that measure how our products perform.
• Cross-Functional Player. You can work with diverse stakeholders to set expectations, report progress, and influence outcomes.
• Bias for Action. You know how to make things happen.
• Comfort with Ambiguity amp; Change. You are excited about working in a startup environment and unfazed by the ambiguity and dynamic culture that come with it. You are excited about creating a vision and testing out new concepts to drive value for our members and partners.
• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or other equivalent experience with design software solutions.

• Life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry experience
• Software/Data engineering experience
