NeueHouse currently operates across four different, but equally iconic, properties in New York City and Los Angeles:

  • Our Madison Square (MSQ) House is situated in New York’s iconic Flatiron District, was previously home for Tepper Galleries, a well-known Manhattan auction house for international artists and collectors in the 1930s and neighbors the 69th Regiment Armory where the first International Exhibition of Modern Art was held.
  • Our Hollywood House (HWD), which sits on Sunset Boulevard, is one of LA’s most celebrated buildings and occupies the original CBS Studio (the world’s first structure built intentionally for broadcast). Here genre- defining artists from Orson Wells and Lucille Ball to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan built their legacy.
  • Our Venice Beach House (VB) was once the creative home to some of the most influential creative luminaries in art and entertainment including Hal Ashby, Oliver Stone, and David Hockney, NeueHouse Venice Beach is a new work, social, and cultural hub for the Venice creative community.
The Role In collaboration with Director of Private Event Sales, the Private Event Sales Manager will manage prospecting and sales for private hire events within their individual market segments. Specific emphasis will be placed on developing and maintaining key business relationships with event clients, sponsors amp; partners. As the home of the new, we are investing in new ways of working, creating, and collaborating and our Private Event Sales Manager is responsible for combining essential sales + negotiating tactics and effective use of resources to execute a seamless client experience from lead to event completion. NeueHouse’s team is lean and operates with a mindset of no task is too small. The Private Event Sales Manager must expect to manage through ambiguity and will need to be ready to support all NH departments in meeting the needs of the house.

Requirements

Solution-oriented and taking pride in the details, the Private Event Sales Manager builds, delivers, and stewards the moments that define NeueHouse for Members, Guests, and team past, present, and future. The role requires someone who is ready to:

• Comfortable in conversing with clients, members, guests, and potential members regarding NeueHouse events and our various programs, pricing structure and amenities

• Must always be a positive and articulate ambassador of the NeueHouse project/brand.

• Prepare presentations, pitches, and proposals for private hire event clients.

• Manage client entertaining efforts and initiatives.

• Conduct walk through amp; tours for event opportunities.

• Manage internal event budgets for individual event segments

• Manage private hire Pamp;L margins

• Liaise with clients to select menus, understand needs, and coordinate the details of their events

• Strong emphasis placed on the communication of event information to relevant parties including, but not limited to, the F+B Department, General Manager, Head of Security, and IT Manager.

• Responsible for making sure deposits and balances get run and tracking events sales.

• Prepare lead amp; sales reports

• Focus on clearly communicating event specs pre-event to events associates to ensure that day-of production is seamless.

We are looking to connect with candidates who bring:

• Outstanding ability to converse with clients and members regarding NeueHouse events and our various programs and amenities.

• Possess experience in delivering all types of events with a strong focus on guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment, ideally in a luxury/upscale event venue, hospitality venue or hotel.

• Flexible and proactive, responding quickly and positively to changing environments.

• Efficient with Google Calendar/Docs/Outlook/Chrome.

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office365 Suite including PowerPoint and Excel

• TripleSeat familiarity is a plus.

• Possesses ability to successfully re-prioritize tasks in a moment's notice.
