Job Description
Snap-Tite Hose, a leading manufacturer of firefighting, agricultural, and industrial hose, is looking for a Maintenance Specialist to join their team. As the Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's production equipment and facilities are running safely and efficiently. You will collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot and repair machinery, and perform routine maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. At Snap-Tite Hose, you'll be working with a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to engineering and manufacturing the best quality products for their clients.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with manufacturing and production departments to ensure equipment is maintained and performing efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot and repair machinery and facilities.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure maximum equipment reliability.
- Respond quickly to unexpected equipment breakdowns, diagnose problems, and carry out appropriate solutions.
- Document maintenance activities, log equipment status, and report any issues or concerns to the maintenance manager.
- Assist in the design and installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing plant or similar environment.
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and repair complex industrial equipment.
- Experience maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs and automation systems.
- Must have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Must be willing to work off-hours and weekends as required.
