Medical Billing Manager

• Manage the medical billing process, including coding, charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, and denial management.
• Ensure compliance with all billing and coding regulations.
• Perform audits on medical records to ensure billing accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with medical staff and insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
• Oversee billing and collection inquiries from patients and insurance companies.
• Provide reporting and analysis on billing activities to the finance team.
• Train and supervise billing staff.
• Carry out analysis of trends affecting coding, charges, accounts receivable, and collection, and assign manageable tasks to billing staff. Remain updated on HIPAA and all other health information management issues and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and in a managerial role.
• Knowledge of medical billing software and coding guidelines.
• Through knowledge and understanding of revenue cycle, collections and payment posting, medical billing, Medicare and Medicaid, third-party payers, denial management, coding.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Attention to details and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
