Job Description

Jupiter Power is an energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, and operation of energy storage assets in wholesale electricity markets. Formed in 2017, the company is a national leader in energy storage deployment, utilizing its proprietary dispatch optimization applications to support both merchant and contracted structures. Jupiter currently has approximately 700 megawatt-hours in construction or operation and is developing approximately 12 GW of projects over 2022-2026

Jupiter Power is seeking a contract Lease and Purchase Agreement Analyst. This person will be responsible for analyzing real estate site control agreements including leases, options, easements, purchase agreements, and other similar instruments. Agreements will be analyzed reviewed and entered into the Company's contract database to accurately and timely maintain all contractual obligations, financial and otherwise. They will also be responsible for maintaining paper file records containing original agreements and documents. Report directly to the General Counsel and VP, Corporate

Requirements

  • Prepare reports that detail lease and purchase agreements and other contractual obligations.
  • Engage with, and support, the Development Team regarding all obligations.
  • Manage and oversee the review of Lease and purchase agreements:
  • Understanding of insurance agreements and requirements to process the lease agreements.
  • Ability to manage the necessary execution of signatures including Notary and electric signature processes.
  • Manage agreements in SharePoint and Document Intelligence.
  • Closely work with our accounting department to ensure that contracts are paid in a timely and accurate manner to ensure contractual terms are met.
  • Coordinate with legal department to record agreement.
  • Track changes to existing agreements (i.e. assignments, amendments, addendums, side letters).
  • Schedule date sensitive non-financial obligations in Jupiter’s App
  • Will work with other functions at Jupiter to provide analysis, reporting, and answer specific queries

Candidates Must Have:

  • 3 to 4 years analyzing real estate contracts required primarily surface land leases and purchase agreements.
  • Renewable experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Fluent with land contract terms and provisions in order to apply a standard model to a wide range of contracts.
  • Strong data quality focus, and the ability to discern small details within complex agreements.
  • Ability to apply systematic thinking across agreements rather than ad-hoc thinking for each individual agreement.
  • Continue to enforce a standard process regarding agreement processing.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and communicate clearly to developers, legal, and accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have a moderate to high level of experience with Excel.
  • Knowledge of Document Intelligence is helpful, but not mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business- Real Estate Management.

This is a part-time CONTRACT job. Hours are up to 20 hours per week. This is a hybrid working arrangement.
