Mission of Role/Position Summary

Our mission is to provide compassionate consulting services to local, state, federal and industry clients, active in disaster response, recovery, and preparedness. We will be on time, on target, and on budget with the services aligned to the evolving threats and hazards facing our nation.

Be part of a team of knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful allies for our clients. This position will support the Technical Services Division’s portfolio of projects as the Deputy Director of Grant Services. As a subject matter expert, this role will provide advanced support, advice and analytical services to private businesses and government agencies regarding full cycle grant management. Deputy Director Grant Services is a senior staff position and will be responsible for leading the business unit assigned and supporting the Director of the division as needed. The Deputy Director will be guided in all activities by ACDC’s Corporate Values Platform.

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Develop guide and lead team of grants management professionals providing a collaborative team culture.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of policy developments relevant to all division clients and ensure project multipliers, utilization, and allocation goals are achieved/met.
  • Manage, develop, and grow the assigned team in all areas of performance management.
  • Assist in business development proposal development and review as needed based on subject-matter expertise.
  • Responsible for ongoing divisional business sectors business development plans, goals, and relationships.
  • Assist all divisions in direct client support and deliverables, as needed.
  • Attend meetings and conference calls with clients.
  • Assist in development of program and client strategies.
  • Participate in deployment teams to assist clients in emergency situations and/or activations.
  • Pursue training, credentials, and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the management of various grants programs, including hazard mitigation, public assistance, ARPA, and other federal grants while ensuing compliance with all guidance and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, policies, and procedures for efficient grants management.
  • Utilize your extensive experience in facilitating grants programs to streamline processes, enhance program efficiency, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for grant application, review, and award processes including, but not limited to generating reports and analyzation.
