Anatomy Physiology Instructor (Remote)

ATS Institute of Technology has been successfully helping students achieve their educational goals since 1998. We are currently seeking an Anatomy amp; Physiology Instructor on a contract basis. This is a 1 term (15 week) contract, classes start September 5th. This is an opportunity for a determined individual to help inspire our students to realize their educational and career goals, furthermore to help students develop the necessary Anatomy amp; Physiology knowledge to build a foundation for success in nursing school.

Summary:

Takes responsibility for course outcomes by implementing the College’s mission, curriculum and course objectives through classroom teaching. Under the general supervision of the Nursing Program Administrator, teaches in accordance with an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods; develops daily lesson plans; tutors students; maintains current and accurate attendance and grades records; participates in faculty meetings, instructional seminars and in-service training sessions. Vigorously upholds a culture of academic integrity, discipline, and accountability.

• Effectively planning and preparing for classes and student success.
• Delivers learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement.
• Works with students to identify their strengths, learning styles, and areas requiring further development, and to develop and implement remediation plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate records, submit grades and other reports on time, and enforce College academic and attendance policies.
• Collaborate with other instructors teaching the same subject to promote consistency in teaching and learning which will lead to student success.
• Participate in professional development related to teaching, college activities, committees, and seminars as well as departmental meetings/activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science required with credits in Anatomy amp; Physiology.
• 2 years experience in teaching.
• Operate with a sense of responsibility and purpose with a sense of desire to support students.
• Effective classroom facilitators who enjoy teaching in a culturally diverse, student-centered environment.
• Strong communication skills
