About the Role:
We use first-principles thinking to challenge assumptions and focus on "why" over "how". As Head of Application Engineering, you'll lead a goal-driven culture within a collaborative effort among platform engineering, design, analytics, and brand-facing teams. As a member of the Resonance leadership team, this role will provide the opportunity to drive the execution for Resonance’s core product working directly with Resonance’s founders as we build the future of this industry.
This role reports to the CEO. We’re looking for experienced creative and curious product thinkers who can develop and grow a compelling vision for Resonance’s ONE platform.
About You:

- You have experience managing technical software products from kick-off to ship
- You do whatever it takes to make your engineering team successful whether that means writing a QA plan or hunting down the root cause of a user’s frustration
- Ability to thrive in unstructured and dynamically-changing work environment where you can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans
- Beyond just shipping new products, you obsess about continuous product improvement and can optimize for shipping a portfolio of small, medium and large releases
Requirements
- Strong engineering skils, e.g., ability to gain an in-depth understanding of software systems, build a robust integration with the ONE Platform API, and make meaningful contributions to high-stakes engineering decisions on Creator Experiences, Learning and Feedback loops
- Strong product sensibility, Intensely curious, fearlessly inquisitive
- Experience with creator-driven, highly-engaging apps is a strong plus
- 10+ years in full-stack development and system design
- Expert in Python, Node.js, React and modern web development tools
- Experience with 3D engines like Unity or Unreal
- Knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3
- Experience in computer vision, Blender and OpenCV for product visualization a plus
- Passion for building innovative, creator-empowering products
- Able to distill ambiguity into clear goals and vision
- Thrives in rapidly changing environments
