Job Description

Summary

EcoMap Technologies is a Baltimore-based tech company that creates tools to power ecosystems, such as entrepreneurial communities, industries, and institutional networks. We aggregate data about the different organizations, resources, opportunities, activity, and relationships within a given ecosystem into a continually updated platform or chatbot, which our customers use to understand their ecosystems and engage their stakeholders.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Sales Development Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business by building a robust pipeline of qualified leads, and will be able to adapt quickly to internal and external changes and quickly understand and articulate EcoMap’s value proposition to potential buyers.

In return, we offer an autonomous but collaborative role where you’ll work closely with two account executives and company leadership supporting EcoMap’s growth goals. This role is best suited for someone who is entrepreneurial, ambitious, and eager to play a critical role in the success of EcoMap.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting to identify potential customers and qualify leads.
  • Schedule appointments and demos for the sales team with qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads in our CRM system.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation targets.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A quick learner with an interest in sales.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools such as Hubspot.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with dynamic changes.
  • Ability to build rapport and develop relationships with prospects and customers.
  • The ability to articulate value and determine what is essential to people.
  • Creative problem solver who responds positively to feedback and challenges.
  • Self-motivated and driven to exceed targets and goals.
  • Able to travel ~10% of the time.
  • This is a hybrid role with an in-office requirement of at least twice weekly.
  • Bonus: Experience in entrepreneurial ecosystem building
