Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join Snap-Tite Hose, a leading firehose manufacturing company. As the Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's products meet industry standards and customer expectations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems. Your role will be critical to help us maintain our reputation for delivering industry-leading quality hose to our customers.

- Support and enhance ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System
- Ensure compliance with all industry related 3rd party approval agencies
- Ensure compliance with all military Quality Assurance Requirement (QAR) inspections.
- Lead, support and participate in Continuous Improvement activities
- Manage and maintain weekly and monthly scrap reports
- Initiate and maintain internal Corrective Actions (CAR) and Supplier Corrective Actions (SCAR)
- Manage and maintain test requests
- Efficiently process product returns and customer concerns
- Manage and maintain Training manager software
- Ensure accuracy in completing and reviewing paper and electronic records, documents and contracts
- Coach mentor for Quality Assurance Technician
- Maintenance of assigned quality/lab equipment
- Learn and support BOM/Routing/Costing structures
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Maintain and support a housekeeping program
- Drive continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within an ISO quality management system
- Must be fluent in MS Word, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and POWERPOINT
- Strong oral interpersonal and written communication skills
- Supervisory experience a plus
- Detail oriented and methodical
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds with or without assistance and be able to stand/walk for 25% of his/her day.
- Experience with contract review and 3rd party outside agencies
- Must be able to grasp technical concepts and ability to drive projects/tasks to on-time completion.
- Must demonstrate leadership capabilities
- Ability to work with and through others to achieve goals.
- Understand the flow of work in the production areas
- Maintain positive attitude while constructively working through stressful situations
