Purpose: The Senior React Front-End Developer will combine technology and design to create inviting, easy-to-use software applications. Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance and training to junior web development staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with back-end developers and other project participants to develop the overall look and design of website or software application.
- Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with QA and supervisor.
- Writes code with programming languages such as React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
- Translates our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.
- Produces, maintains, and modifies user interfaces.
- Creates tools that enhances the user experience.
- Ensures application is accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones.
- Ensures high quality graphic and performance standards and brand consistency.
- Gives constructive feedback and provides guidance on a regular basis to junior and mid-level developers.
- Leads projects with a small team of developers and/or QA/designers.
- Articulates impact or risks with code changes.
- Weighs business needs against technological preferences.
- Articulates costs of both financial, time, and risk, of technical debt.
- Justifies decisions that can be understood in layman’s terms in the context of our business.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with React JS, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or other similar design software.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on an assignment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
- At least five years of related work experience highly preferred.
