Job Summary
The Lead Aftermarket Design Engineer is part of the traditional engineering group and leads all engineering activities associated with aftermarket parts and service within Hayward Tyler. We’re looking for someone who is organized, focused on continuous improvement including documentation updates, and enjoys a fast-paced work environment where difficult problems need quick solutions. Someone who is successful in this role has a strong technical engineering background, experience with rotating equipment, and can lead and supervise a group of 4-6 engineers. They also enjoy interfacing with customers to provide support and solve problems when issues arise with existing HTI equipment at power plants.
Department Focus
The Design Engineering function supports business needs and continuous improvement efforts through appropriate technical product and engineering principle development of employees and management.Principal Duties:
Overall responsibility for design engineering activities on aftermarket and parts contracts, including aftermarket units. The activities can include material selection, updating design documents to current standards, ensuring compliance to various Codes, maintaining engineering schedules, and all other activities associated with aftermarket engineering efforts.
