0015-Solutions Architect

OCT Consulting is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

OCT Consulting currently has an opening for an experienced Solutions Architect to support a Federal government client. The responsibilities for the Solutions Architect include:

  • Overall management of the team
  • Ensuring that all deliverables meet the quality standards and performance requirements
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business and technical requirements to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Evaluate existing systems and technologies to determine integration possibilities and constraints.
  • Collaborate with development teams to guide the implementation of the designed solutions.
  • Ensure the architecture's alignment with security, compliance, and performance requirements.
  • Oversee the development and testing phases, ensuring solutions meet quality standards.
  • Lead technical teams and provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project scope, risks, and timelines while balancing business and technical priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and improvements in architecture frameworks.
  • Drive innovation by proposing new solutions and technologies to enhance the organization's capabilities.
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

A competitive candidate will possess the following:

  • 10 or more years of experience working as solutions architect in modernization efforts of established organizations.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect preferred.
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum / Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, relationship management, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills are also required.
  • Prior experience with USDA is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral skills.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Other

Must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance.

The investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check

Must be a US Citizen
