Brooks Internship Program:
Brooks Running hosts summer internships at our Seattle HQ offices to provide hands-on, meaningful work experience to further enhance your education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real work, and projects while working side by side with Brooks employees and leadership. If chosen for this role, you will join a cohort of interns at Brooks and embark on a summer of learning, professional development, and exposure to the Brooks brand and culture.

This Opportunity:
Our global Brand Creative Team is seeking a Design Intern to work at our Seattle HQ offices. The Brooks global Creative team imagines/designs/curates/manifests creative concepts, campaigns, and assets that define and express the Brooks brand. Print, retail, packaging, web, digital, eventseven porta pottiesare our canvas and runners are our inspiration. Our growing team seeks a Design Intern to develop marketing creative to support seasonal product launches, events, and retail.As a Design Intern you’ll bring your conceptual thinking, passion, keen eye, and creative talent to every project that comes your way. Your design range will stretch across campaigns, in-store POP, events, internal initiatives, catalogs, and global brand assets. As part of the go-to-market design team, collaboration and flexibility are as important as your design chops and communication prowess.Your Impact (Responsibilities):
  • Provide support in the design and development of seasonal product launches, including conceptual explorations, layout, illustration, and development of seasonal creative guides and asset kits, design of brooksrunning.com assets and social media content, as well as dynamic retail creative
  • Help create designs for internal presentations and materials for internal meetings or events
  • Build and foster relationships with other team members at Brooks to gain and maintain a deep understanding of what drives the brand, business, and products
  • Partner with copywriters to develop conceptual ideas for campaigns
  • With guidance from the design team, problem solve and find multiple design solutions for projects
  • Continually develop your design, presentation, and strategic skills
  • Successfully manage time, workflow, and schedule to deliver creative
Project:
  • As a part of your experience as an intern at Brooks, you will have the opportunity to complete a project under the support and supervision of your manager. Details of your project will be finalized once you arrive at Brooks based on your interests, and the needs of the business. You will present your work and findings to leadership at Brooks at the end of your internship, to hone in on your research, recommendation, and presentation skills.
Skills Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or a related field
  • Willing to commit to the intern position for three months onsite in Seattle, WA
  • Willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience
  • Able to commit to up to 40 hours a week to be physically present at HQ
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
  • Creative portfolio demonstrating layout, typography, and conceptual skills
  • Illustration, type skills and hand lettering a strong plus
  • Understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. After Effects is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with project/time management skills
  • Able to work both independently within a team environment, and collaboratively
