Brooks Internship Program:
Brooks Running hosts summer internships at our Seattle HQ offices to provide hands-on, meaningful work experience to further enhance your education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real work, and projects while working side by side with Brooks employees and leadership. If chosen for this role, you will join a cohort of interns at Brooks and embark on a summer of learning, professional development, and exposure to the Brooks brand and culture.

This Opportunity:
Our NA Demand Planning Team is seeking a Demand Planning graduate intern to work at our Seattle HQ offices.The Demand Planning team plays a crucial role in ensuring that we have the right product at the right time to meet our customers’ needs and our business goals. Their mission is to develop an operational plan at SKU level to drive the company’s operations. (supply plan, manufacturing plan, distribution plan). To do so they blend historical sales trends and patterns, working closely with Sales, Product, Marketing and Supply Planning.During 2024, the NA Demand Planning team will implement a statistical system for the first time.Your role will be to support demand planning in several analyses to improve the demand plan processes and set the required procedures, to work with the new system and continuously improve our standards.In this role you will gain a good understanding of the end-to-end planning process and how to ensure a smooth flow of information from consumer and retailer feedback to product planning and finally to demand planning, and how it flows to Market Supply Planning and finally to our sourcing partners and manufacturing sites.Your Impact (Responsibilities)
  • Understand the current ways of working and the team involved in the assigned processes
  • Develop an analysis of the areas of opportunities within and adjacent to the assigned process
  • Design potential improvement solutions to the identified opportunities
  • Test the designed improvements
  • Create and execute an implementation plan
  • Develop processes that will sustain the improvement
Project:
  • As a part of your experience as an intern at Brooks, you will have the opportunity to complete a project under the support and supervision of your manager. Details of your project will be finalized once you arrive at Brooks based on your interests, and the needs of the business. You will present your work and findings to leadership at Brooks at the end of your internship, to hone in on your research, recommendation, and presentation skills.
Skills Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree in supply chain or a related field
  • Willing to commit to the intern position for three months onsite in Seattle, WA
  • Willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience
  • Able to commit to up to 40 hours a week to be physically present at HQ
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
  • Well-developed quantitative skills with an aptitude for report-building, data mining, and interpretation
  • Strong computer skills, including proven mastery of Microsoft office suite
  • Demand Planning system knowledge, use or implementation and Tableau experience are a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
  • Must be able to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
