Job Description

BiosimAI accelerates drug discovery by developing unprecedented predictive models of chemical and biological systems through novel combinations of AI and physics-based simulations. We are seeking a lead product manager for our groundbreaking computational chemistry / chemoinformatics platform technology suite.

This will be a high visibility product leadership role. You will collaborate with our world-class team and strategic partners to translate customer needs into intuitive, seamless product experiences. You will own the user experience and product roadmap for our suite of cutting-edge chemical simulation software, leading the implementation of our programs in molecular dynamics and protein interactions. As our product expert, you will ensure our software enables small molecule drug discovery and development. Gathering constant feedback from customers and our internal drug discovery team, you will rapidly validate, prioritize, and scope features to accelerate our product innovation, and work with the technical teams to ensure we are creating solutions that drive customer value.

You will work with a global team of outstanding scientists and engineers led by Dr. Garegin Papoian - Biosim Founder, former Director of Chemical Physics at the University of Maryland, and inventor of world-first advancements in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Own all product and user-facing components of our computational chemistry platform technology suite.
  • Work with the team to develop features that users need and love, driving increases in user numbers and overall product use
  • Develop a market-informed product vision through communicating with customers to understand their needs, formulating and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
  • Identify enthusiastic users and create channels for iterative feedback from representative demographics, customers, partners, and commercial collaborators.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess and align technical development priorities and projects to actionable market opportunities.
  • Represent the product in key external settings, including conferences, events, webinars, exploratory partner calls, community events, and demos.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on relevant developments in the industry for both leadership and product teams, such as new market offerings or competitors.
  • Partner with engineering leads to scope product designs and programs, supporting execution.
  • Prototype product marketing strategies (pricing, advertising, product launching) and craft compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns).
  • Lead low-fidelity prototype and experimentation, partnering with UI/UX leads for fast and effective production scale product iteration.
  • Work with a geographically distributed team from the US East coast to Eastern Europe.

Required qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in computationally-enabled drug discovery, molecular design, and/or biological simulation.
  • 5+ years experience in cheminformatics-based drug discovery software product strategy, development, and delivery.
  • Deep experience with the continuous and opportunistic delivery of customer value through platform scientific tooling and services.
  • Prior experience creating compelling product experiences through iterative prototyping, demographic interviews, and nimble product testing, leveraging validated best practices along the way.
  • Experience gathering user feedback, iteratively building, improving and delivering compelling products to the market.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong follow-through, and high sense of urgency.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A vision for addressing unmet customer needs in the drug discovery workflow.
  • Highly developed ability to work with a globally distributed software development team, including running team meetings and generating articulate user stories, product requirements, wireframes, and market research and analysis.
  • Understanding of users/researchers and their perspectives in the drug discovery world, their motivations, needs, buying behaviors, purchasing patterns, etc.
  • A strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly comprehend complex scientific concepts (PhD not required).
  • Located in Eastern US or Western or Central Europe.
