Job Description

Our client is a growing faith-based organization that proudly supports more than 22,000 in-person members, 800,000 unique weekly viewers worldwide, and 30 ministries across six campuses throughout the Greater Houston, TX area and online.

Responsible for overseeing, managing, and optimizing the day-to-day back office operations of the organization to ensure the critical business processes that support its overall mission and growth runs efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with its strategic goals. This role will also manage resources, drive process improvements, and contribute to the development of operational strategies.


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Operational Strategy: Work closely with top executives to develop and implement the organization's operational strategies.
  • Process Management: Design, implement, and optimize processes and workflows across the organization; identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement; work to streamline operations for better efficiency and productivity.
  • Resource Allocation: Manages the allocation and effective use of resources (e.g., operations budget, labor effort, and technology) to various departments and projects to achieve business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate between different departments and teams to ensure that various parts of the organization work harmoniously toward common goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Measure and monitor the performance of different aspects of the business to assess the organization's progress and identify areas that need attention.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks to minimize potential disruptions, develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's interests, and ensure business continuity.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Oversee the managers of various operations-related departments and teams, providing guidance, support, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with industry trends and advancements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Change Management: Play a pivotal role in managing the transition of organizational changes (e.g., expansion, restructuring, adopting new technologies) and minimizing any negative impacts.
  • Stakeholder Experience: Work to align operations with stakeholders’ (e.g., congregant members, guests, etc.) needs and expectations, ensuring that the organization’s operational and administrative services are delivered efficiently and with high quality.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Contribute operational expertise to strategic discussions and provide insights on how operational considerations impact the organization's overall direction.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master's
preferred).
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within back-office operations, with a track record of successfully managing multiple departments. Deep understanding of facilities management or church operations is a plus.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across different teams and levels of the
organization.
Sound financial acumen and budget management skills.
Proficiency in technology and systems relevant to back-office operations.
Strong understanding of compliance and risk management principles.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to organizational success.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
