Job Description

About Purple Carrot

Purple Carrot started with just a seed of an idea in 2014. Our vision is a world where plant-based eating is at the core of living well. Every day, on this mission, we’re breaking boundaries with plant-based eating. We value learning from customers, an ownership mindset, integrity, winning together, and being bold. We need your expertise on our People team to make things happen!

Purple Carrot’s irresistible, globally-inspired meal-kit recipes and prepared meals using fresh ingredients are available in all 48 contiguous US states. We are a team of collaborative individuals who drive for results, strive for doing better, make good choices quickly, and embrace a growth mindset to win or learn. Here’s what you’re up for!

Description

We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our mission-driven team in our continued effort to inspire people to eat more plants! The role is integral in fostering a workplace consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the company.

This role will serve as a strategic people leader supporting all functions of the business through an exciting period of growth! We are looking for candidates who are passionate about enabling people to do their best work by providing guidance and leadership, and leveraging and sharing their knowledge and skill. This is ideal for someone with a few years of HR management experience eager to expand the scope and impact of their work across the full range of HR functions (Talent Management and Organizational Design, Employee Engagement and Culture, Compensation amp; Benefits, Employee Relations, Compliance and more).

We greatly thank all applicants, however only those under serious consideration will be contacted.

Location

  • Purple Carrot HQ is in Needham, MA and prefers local candidates to work in a hybrid model.

  • Leading various HR programs and projects to help us attract, engage and retain top talent
  • Developing managers into effective leaders by building trusting relationships and coaching in areas including performance management, compensation and rewards, employee relations, recruitment, leadership, communications, and engagement
  • Identifying and implementing systems and process improvements for various HR programs
  • Solving complex HR issues by collaborating across the company
  • Ensuring fair and consistent interpretation and compliance with company, federal, state, and local HR policies and procedures
  • Stretching into ad-hoc projects and work that drive business results

Main Ingredients of the Role

  • 4-6 years of HRBP/Generalist experience
  • Experience in businesses with geographically distributed operations and broad range of employee skills and job functions
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or related business field, or equivalent experience.
  • Formal education in human resources or related business field (Bachelors, Masters/MBA and/or PHR certification) would be a plus but not required
  • Able to commute to office in Needham in hybrid model

Extra Special Sauce

  • Unquestionable integrity and demonstrable respect for others
  • Unafraid to tackle unsolved problems and build systems and processes from the ground up
  • A tendency toward collaboration over working siloed
  • Ability to deliver results in the face of multiple competing priorities

Garnish

We love our staff, and show it with benefits (including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, FSA, and life insurance), matching retirement plan, unlimited paid time off, Purple Carrot box allowance, professional development, and the opportunity to work in collaboration with teammates who are passionate about food!

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V. We are committed to a safe and inclusive work environment, free of discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, genetics, national origin, ancestry, age, medical condition, mental or physical disability, handicap, veteran status, or marital status.
