Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Document patient behavior and activities in medical records
- Assist with the transfer and transport of patients as needed
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of germs and disease
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aid (HHA) certification
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
