THE ROLE:

The Senior Manager, Quality Control Production at AG is responsible for overseeing the quality control processes at all external co-manufacturing sites as it relates to ingredients, packaging, and components. In this role, you will be accountable for daily quality compliance management, timely product release, management of non-conforming products, material reviews, and audits. The Sr. Manager, QC Production role interacts extensively with Manufacturing, RNI, Supply Chain, Operations, external contract manufacturers, contact packers, 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) centers, and suppliers. This position ensures that all AG products are produced consistently and meet the set standards of quality, safety, and efficacy, reinforcing our commitment to delivering superior health products to our customers. Our ideal candidate is an effective leader with experience managing a team of quality control professionals, is strategic with the ability to create functional objectives and plans, and is data-driven with a demonstrated history of establishing and tracking quality performance metrics.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Implement and manage quality control measures to reduce defects and improve production efficiency of Athletic Greens’ external manufacturing sites. Evaluate, monitor, and support trend analysis of consumer complaints to drive improvements from contract manufacturer related root causes.
  • Work with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to define and execute a vision around best practices to ensure high quality and safety standards are met throughout supply and production.
  • Collaborate with AG Supply Chain leadership to develop, implement, and enforce quality agreements with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Evaluate contract manufacturer suitability and readiness to understand and manufacture to AG requirements, while ensuring conformance to specifications, regulatory requirements, and food safety guidelines.
  • Evaluate 3PL suitability for storing AG materials, both raw materials and finished products, in a manner that does not negatively impact the quality and integrity of the material.
  • Responsible for daily Quality Control activities as it relates to production, ensuring AG products meet or exceed company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of QC checks, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Generate statistical reporting on production quality metrics and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Conduct routine internal compliance audits of the production process. Plan and perform external contract manufacturing audits for new and existing contract manufacturers; ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and certifications.
  • Assist in root-cause analysis of quality issues, follow-up on action plans and corrective actions, and verify that remediation activities are appropriately implemented.
  • Regularly supervise and audit contract manufacturer quality and food safety activities.
  • Ensure contract manufacturers and 3PLs have traceability systems in place, conduct traceability tests, and participate in mock recalls.
  • Create and manage an AG library of current contract manufacturer SOPs and protocols to ensure that adequate established quality control and food safety procedures are in place, and verify implementation of such procedures during onsite audits.
  • Review and approve Pre and Post production samples; participate in finished goods production sensory evaluations.
  • Review and approve contract manufacturer supplied Finished Goods Certificate of Analysis to ensure product conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain AG Raw Material amp; Finished Product Retains program and supporting documentation.
  • Implement KPIs, framework requirements, technical specifications, and evaluation criteria defined by AG Quality leadership.
