We are looking for a Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations to join our growing Supply Chain Team. Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain Operations, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing supply chain processes related to technical operations. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and operational effectiveness. Your leadership and technical expertise will be essential in driving continuous improvement, problem-solving, and collaboration within the supply chain team.
Our ideal candidate is educated and experienced in all areas of the supply chain in addition to having technical and digital expertise. In this role, you will be identifying the best technology solutions to support and streamline end-to-end supply chain processes, including order processing, procurement, production scheduling, distribution, quality adherence, manufacturing, and sustainability by partnering with stakeholders to elicit, analyze and document customer needs into well-organized business requirements that technical individuals can comprehend. This is a highly cross-functional role and requires frequent collaboration and coordination amongst several key stakeholders within and outside the organization.
- Lead the definition, analysis and documentation phases of capturing business needs, capabilities, and feature requests for technology solutions.
- Manage power users and stakeholders expectations on solutions, project scope, and implementation timeline.
- Develop functional specifications and process enhancements, collaborate with tech teams to develop software, and hardware requirements for new processes and features.
- Understand and identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the Supply Chain operations and work to develop and execute on initiatives leveraging technology and process improvements to resolve these challenges.
- Support implementation of key Supply Chain systems such as MRP, PLM systems, etc and upgrade projects.
- Manage vendors for on-time delivery of technology projects and resolution of issues.
- Implement strategic plans to optimize the technical operations that align with the overall business objectives.
- Offer streamlined collaboration across technology teams to bring the full strength of IT to the table
- Support in developing and improving inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess, and reduce stock outs by leveraging and optimizing existing technology with 3PL providers.
- Implement inventory tracking tools and monitoring systems to ensure accurate inventory counts and timely replenishment.
- Manage and lead various activities throughout the product development lifecycle
- Partner closely with the Engineering and ERP teams by communicating issues, needs, and recommendations for improvements through feedback received from the Supply Chain team.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Operations, or a similar field of study. Additional degree in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in supporting Supply Chain teams, preferably at a CPG company, identifying, implementing and supporting the best technology solutions to optimize supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes including Planning, Production, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Fulfillment and Distribution, and Quality.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan and organize projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer focus (internal and external) with the ability to work ef
