Job Description

The Senior Payroll Specialist reports to the Controller and is responsible for preparing bi-weekly multi-state payroll payments for approximately 150 employees. The individual must maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity to ensure confidence and protection of the integrity of the payroll operations and information. This person should have an excellent working knowledge of ADP Work Force Now and a solid understanding of the entire payroll process including labor compliance, medical benefits and 401(k) contributions.

Essential Functions

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately for CliniComp’s employees using ADP Workforce Now;
  • Work with our 401k Carrier to confirm accuracy of 401k contributions and funding amounts. Conduct year end 401k contribution review and analyze/process year end true up if required;
  • Perform various payroll functions and data entry for payroll related transactions including weekly audits, new hires, terminations, and timely year end reporting as necessary (W2, 1095, 1099, etc.);
  • Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information, etc.;
  • Complete manual payroll calculations as needed to ensure the company is in compliance with payroll for local, state and federal laws/regulations;
  • Perform FTO and employee insurance benefit reconciliation on a regular basis;
  • Assist in developing and performing internal audit and control procedures to ensure that all wages and taxes are accurate;
  • Provide assistance to employees regarding questions and/or concerns with payroll and taxes. Research and trouble shoot any/all payroll related inquiries;
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Controller;

This position must maintain a high level of confidentiality in working with the payroll operations and information.

Requirements

*Current hybrid work environment minimum 3 days per week on-site*

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field;
  • Minimum 3+ years related experience preparing payrolls in a multi-state environment for 150 or more employees;
  • Knowledge of US accounting standards and rules related to payroll regulations and compliance;
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now;
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced Excel skill a plus;
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered;

Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time position is $92,000 - $97,000.
