We're a seed-stage AI startup led by a founding team of AI startup veterans on a mission to revolutionize the accounting industry. We're seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to help turn our vision into reality. We are combining reasoning, machine learning, and generative AI to augment and democratize the expertise of accountants, empowering individuals and small businesses to make more informed financial decisions.

What You'll Do:
- Build, mentor, and lead diverse engineering teams, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the vision and long-term strategy of our technology.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality software products, ensuring timely releases.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Dive into code, architecture design, and problem-solving as required to support the team and technical roadmap.
- Play a crucial role in hiring top talent and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- A track record of delivering innovative software products from the ground up, either in high-growth startups or as early-stage products in large companies.
- Understanding of how to incorporate AI/ML components into larger software systems. Even if you aren’t an AI/ML expert, you should have an understanding of how these components interact with other parts of a software system.
- Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty. We’re trailblazing a new path in AI and accounting, which requires a willingness to take on the unknown.
- Strong leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for guiding the team, making strategic decisions, and communicating complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 3+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.
