Job Description
Performs necessary duties to program, set up and operate machines in a safe, clean, and productive environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to program components using CAM software (MasterCAM or Esprit preferrable) with simple to average levels of complexity
- Able to troubleshoot programs/setups/machines/etc. to ensure high quality parts
- Able to perform set ups including proper fixturing and tool setting for work piece machining
- Continually demonstrate the ability to set up and produce close tolerance machined parts of stainless steel, titanium and plastic in a fast-paced environment
- Reads, comprehends, and understands blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions
- Uses standard shop measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators to accurately measure parts and document results
- Perform at a high level with moderate to heavy supervision
- Ability to train other Machinists in the proper setup of milling machines
- Maintains equipment including machines, tooling and measuring tools
- Keeps work area safe and clean
- Other duties as assigned

- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and written/verbal instructions
- Must have basic general machine shop mathematics
- Must possess mechanical aptitude skills
Education and Experience
0 - 3 years of experience programming and 5+ years of setting up and running CNC machines (experience with HAAS, DMG/Mori, Tsugami machines preferred). Desired to have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certificate of basic CNC machining/programming is preferred

Salary Range
Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $35 to $42 Full-Time Hourly Range
