OPPO U.S. Research Center is in search of junior HR Coordinator, this role will primarily be responsible for daily HR operations tasks, work with our HR team to ensure smooth and effective hiring experience for our candidates, facilitate with onboarding, engagements, terminations, performance management, employee relations and other HR programs.
This position requires onsite working 5 days in the office (Palo Alto, California)
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate on/off boarding processes with IT, admin and finance team both locally and headquarter in China;
- Organize New Hire Orientation activities across all US offices;
- Assist with recruitment and interview process by working with recruiters and hiring managers to schedule interviews with candidates and provide proactive recruiting support;
- Create and maintain employee files, make sure all employee files are up to date, ensure high level of confidentiality and integrity of employee privacy data;
- Work with external law firms on employees' work visa related cases;
- Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activities.
- Perform other related administrative and HR duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Well organized and good attention to details;
- Understand that you are dealing with sensitive data and treat it with extreme care.
- Team player, persistence and results-driven;
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to analysis complicated situations and identify root cause.
Preferred Experiences
- Knowledge in HR best practices and current regulations.
- Hands-on experience with ATS System or other HR ERP systems
- Previous work visa processing experience is a strong plus
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in human resources study or related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred.
- 0-1 year HR related experiences.

The US base salary range for this contractor position is $30-$40/hour. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
