LAC Federal is looking for a talented Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for testing and evaluate new software applications for a website and ensuring their quality. As a Software Quality Assurance Tester, you'll work within a fast-paced team environment to ensure software meets or exceeds acceptance criteria, with a focus on quality assurance in a library software and services environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all software applications are thoroughly tested and meet our high standards of quality. To excel in this role, you should be an analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and an ability to work within strict deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure that our software meets or exceeds acceptance criteria
- Identify defects and work with the development team to resolve issues
- Use testing best practices to identify and report defects in a clear and concise manner
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve issues
- Manage the testing process, including maintaining testing schedules and tracking progress
- Work with technical leads to identify and implement testing improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance testing, with a focus on library software and services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough understanding of software development life cycle
- Experience with automated testing tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
