As a part-time Payroll Clerk at JDK Management Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring that company payrolls are processed accurately in a timely manner. This position reports to the Payroll Manager.


Responsibilities
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, new hires, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and other wages.
  • Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal, state, and local taxes.
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Experience in progressive operations of payroll, accounting, or human resources is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office is required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, communicate with all levels of management, adhere to strict deadlines, attention to detail/accuracy, and solid analytical skills are required.


Position Type

  • This is a part-time, non-exempt, benefit-eligible position.
  • This is a hybrid position offering both remote and on-site work. Occasional on-site visits are required, as needed.
  • Hours of work are Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as needed.
  • Travel is not typically expected but may arise as job duties demand.
