Job Description

We are looking for a Travel Business Development Manager to manage our company's travel sales and industry relations team. You will be responsible for promoting travel products to maximize consumer appeal. Developing relationships with vendors will also be part of your duties. An excellent candidate must have extensive experience understanding travel consumer needs and the travel sales environment. They must have a commercial mindset and fully comprehend marketing and sales principles. Exceptional communication skills are also key.

The goal is to increase sales and profitability of the business to drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
  • Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
  • Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing, promotional opportunities, and quality of services
  • Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
  • Liaise with marketing and education teams to determine promotional and educational activities for a product category
  • Make forecasts for product demand
  • Assume responsibility for budget development and revenue for category

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a travel supplier business development manager or a similar role
  • Solid leadership experience
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, or a related field
