Job Description

Citadel Home Care, a leading provider of healthcare services, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Regional Authorization Specialist. As part of our Hospital amp; Health Care industry, you will play a crucial role in streamlining the authorization process for home care services, ensuring timely and accurate approvals.

In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to obtain authorizations for home care services. As a Regional Authorization Specialist, you will excel at navigating through insurance regulations and policies, while effectively communicating with all parties to facilitate swift authorizations. Your ability to handle complex situations with ease, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills will be instrumental in your success.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to obtain authorizations for home care services
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients seeking home care services
  • Complete and submit necessary forms and documentation to insurance companies for authorization
  • Ensure all authorizations are obtained within designated timeframes to allow for timely provision of care
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and patients regarding authorization status and any additional requirements
  • Review and follow-up on outstanding authorizations to ensure completion
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to authorizations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare authorization or related role
  • Strong knowledge of insurance regulations and policies, specifically in relation to home care services
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software necessary for authorization processes
