If you would like to join us, we are looking for an Associate Product Counsel, Probate to lead the development, implementation, and support of Trust amp; Will’s probate, estate administration, and trust administration offerings.

You have the desire to help people with your legal mind, but you still understand the needs of running a high-growth business.About the Role:
  • Be the lead attorney in Trust amp; Will’s rapidly growing probate and administration business.
  • Responsible for the development, expansion, and maintenance of Trust amp; Will’s 50-state suite of probate and administration products and services, including the development of new offerings.
  • Handle internal and external education communications, including webinars, trainings, and interviews about probate, estate administration, and Trust amp; Will’s services.
  • Report to Product Counsel and work cross-functionally as a problem solver to provide probate and administration support to teams throughout the company, including Product, Marketing, Member Success, and Partnerships.
  • Provide risk-adjusted advice to internal stakeholders and help guide the roadmap for developing new products and services.
  • Serve as a go-to resource on a diverse range of matters, effectively taking on a range of functions to support evolving needs.
  • Support Trust amp; Will’s efforts for regulatory changes, embracing technology to create new and better ways to administer estate plans.
  • Support a diverse range of legal needs for a growing company, including contract matters, risk analysis, and providing strategic advice and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years of law firm or in-house legal experience with at least 3 years of experience in post-death administration, including probate and trust administration.
  • J.D. and active bar membership.
  • Strong research and analysis skills paired with organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function both as a specialist focusing on probate and as a legal generalist in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willing to develop new areas of knowledge and experience to support company growth.
  • Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of projects, and driving solutions as and independent part of a team.
  • Creative solutioning skills with the ability to spot issues, identify risks, and design solutions.
Bonus Points for:
  • Experience in estate planning and general transactional experience on top of your probate and trust administration experience.
  • Experience with early-stage growth companies, multi-state compliance issues, and/or product development.
Full-time Employee Benefits Perks:
  • Our salary range for this position is $75,000 - 110,000, in addition to compensation we also include an employee equity package as a component of our offer along with other benefits and perks outlined below.
