Job Description

The Accountant performs accounting duties related to all hospitality, restaurant, winery and agricultural transactions, including but not limited to Budget tracking, Credit Card Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cash Management, Payroll cost-center tracking, Inter-company, Tax, and other accounting projects in an efficient and accurate manner. Reports to the Senior Finance Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Restaurant Finance, Accounting amp; Administration:

  • Pamp;L reports for individual events
  • Ensure the daily revenue balances are reconciled, the payments to the guest ledger are processed, and the accounts receivables are balanced
  • Reconcile the food and beverage point of sale system, record and adjust entries
  • Reconcile all miscellaneous revenue sources to the PMS system
  • Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.
  • Compile and sort invoices and checks
  • Record business transactions and key daily worksheets to the GL
  • Input type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
  • Process invoices amp; bills for payment
  • To assist in extracting the details for income tax annual filing and tax queries.
  • To prepare all the statistic reporting requirements.
  • Inspect all in-house accounts amp; ensure compliance with advance deposit policy.
  • Ensures that all authorized or approved purchase orders are sent to their respective suppliers/vendors for delivery purposes on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for physical control of all store items until issued, fully documented under strict control procedures (key control, timing schedule, authorized issue requests).
  • Keeps all records in a way that they can be checked at any time for information or audit purposes.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
  • Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management

Summit Skywalker Ranch Finance amp; Administration

  • Pamp;L reports for individual events
  • Ensure the daily revenue balances are reconciled, the payments to the guest ledger are processed, and the accounts receivables are balanced
  • Reconcile the food and beverage point of sale system for each outlet to the PMS system; record and adjust entries
  • Reconcile all miscellaneous revenue sources to the PMS system
  • Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.
  • Compile and sort invoices and checks (Resort Suite and Agilsys)
  • Record business transactions and key daily worksheets to the GL
  • Input type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
  • Process invoices amp; bills for payment
  • Receive mail and match payments to invoices
  • Arrange for money to be delivered to bank
  • Utilize computer systems to run databases, pay bills and order supplies
  • Contact individuals with delinquent accounts
  • To fulfil the month closing requirements for General Ledger.
  • To prepare daily deposit log and handle the full cash cycle.
  • Assist to liaise with Bank for banking matters
  • To perform the credit card reconciliation on the daily basis (Resort Suite and Agilsys)
  • Perform the inter-company balances
  • To assist in extracting the details for income tax annual filing and tax queries.

  • Monitor vendors for quality, service and price through standard purchasing specifications.
  • Keeps all records in a way that they can be checked at any time for information or audit purposes.

  • Wine Direct(Vin65) reports management
    • Financial Reporting-Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Sales-Wine
    • Financial Reporting-Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Sales-Merchandise
  • Accounts receivable
    • Wholesale Billing and aging reports
    • Billing and follow up for Wagyu and Garden Accounts
    • Billing and follow up for Wholesale Wine Accounts
  • Winery State compliance management
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Pamp;L reports for individual events

Requirements

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and three to five years general accounting experience in a computerized environment.

Required Skills / Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Hospitality experience required.
