Job Description

Position purpose:

  • The Housekeeping Lead reports to the Housekeeping Managers and assists in the coordinating of the day-to-day responsibilities of Housekeeping line staff and general operations of the department.


Position Overview:

  • · Act as direct report for housekeepers at assigned properties · Ensure Housekeepers are maintaining IOA cleaning standards · Report all changes or issues to Housekeeping Management as they arise. · Attend meetings with management and co-supervisors · Accommodate guest special requests · Opening rooms for check in and ensuring IOA standards are met · Inspecting completed rooms, checking making sure IOA standards are met · Providing constructive to feedback and training to housekeepers as needed · Maintain cleanliness of public spaces · Notify Housekeeping Management of any problems with room or public areas · Turn in all lost and found items for logging and storage · Ensure confidentiality and security of room · Keep linen closet and supply area organized and tidy · Utilize multiple apps and platforms for scheduling, communication, and work orders etc. · Knowledge of cleaning standards of our properties
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures and polices established by the Inns of Aurora, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • · Previous housekeeping experience · Ability to maintain neat, professional and clean appearance and practices · Excellent verbal communication skills · Ability to work at a high pace · Refined time management skills · Attention to detail · Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time · Ability to work independently
  • Working at multiple Properties


Preferences:

  • Knowledge of OSHA, cleaning products, procedures and standards
