Job Description

The team:

Genetec is seeking a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for the sustained success of an aggressive growth strategy for large, national sales partners who are identified as strategic to our business. The successful candidate will bring passion, ambition and an entrepreneurial spirit to the role and have the ability to mentor, develop and direct a team.

The ideal candidate will possess a tenacity that will focus on building relationships and establishing credible opportunities for Genetec within the identified account(s) with the goal of long-term account retention and maximized selling opportunities that result in pipeline acceleration and revenue growth.

What your day will look like:
  • Develops relationships at all levels and be the voice of Genetec within assigned account(s)
  • Understands the Account’s business, its various stakeholders, their product selection, budgeting, and purchase processes and how these affect their growth and margin targets
  • Develops and implement business and marketing plans within the identified account to define business objectives, goals, and programs
  • Coordinates the involvement of SMEs in order to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
  • Works with Product Marketing and Ramp;D to ensure that the account’s requirements are understood and considered as part of new product planning
  • Develops proficiency in positioning Genetec relative to high potential end user needs
  • Provides product demonstrations and commercial training to account stakeholders
  • Keeps management abreast of account activity, trends and opportunities
  • Manages forecasts and achieves quotas
  • Acquires, maintains and reports knowledge of product, market and competition
  • Meets assigned targets for growth, profitability, A/R and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Responsible for hiring, motivating, developing and retaining talent for the Strategic Accounts Team
  • Provides performance and career development feedback to team of Account Managers
  • Effectively communicates with key personnel including senior and executive leaders in formal and informal settings
About you:
  • 10+ years of high-tech sales experience, including national/strategic account management
  • Minimum of 5+ years sales team management experience
  • Ability to work cross functionally and build relationships with core stakeholders
  • Acumen for understanding of complex technology systems
  • IT and/or IP Security industry background a plus
  • Ability to effectively negotiate with a track-record of results
  • Ability to demonstrate financial knowledge and business acumen
  • Proven success motivating and inspiring a team
  • Excellent communication skills; able to articulate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone and in writing; strong presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to work with a minimum of direction and supervision to be able to translate broad directives into useful tactics and meaningful activities
  • Understanding of large-company business practices; ability to influence and leverage company management and key contributors to achieve growth goals
  • Ability to influence and gain consensus among multiple stakeholders in group purchase situations
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience of working with a team of sales professionals to manage strategic accounts, account managers, drive strategic efforts within the accounts and deliver on revenue and growth targets
