THE OPPORTUNITY
ORIGO Education is seeking a highly motivated and disciplined full-time Senior Writer with recent classroom experience in math education. This is a busy and multi-faceted hands-on role. You will be required to work with stakeholders within the organization as well as with external parties. This is a full-time position and you will be working from home.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Writing elementary mathematics lessons and activities with original ideas that reflect best teaching practices and align to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM)
- Working collaboratively with the ORIGO writing team to plan projects and improve processes.
Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in mathematics education
- Strong understanding of elementary mathematics (CCSSM)
- Strong understanding of mathematics pedagogy and practice
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality work within scheduled deadlines
- Proven ability to liaise successfully with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to adapt your working schedule to liaise with Australian colleagues (Brisbane AEST)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe products.
