About the Job
We are seeking a Java Developer for a global IT company.
Responsibilities:- Develop high quality, user-friendly applications in a multi-user environment.
- Produce supporting documentation for the applications.
- Utilize Java/J2EE technologies such as Servlets, JSP, and XML processing in development.
- Implement front-end web development using HTML, CSS, JSP, and JavaScript.
- Connect to databases using JDBC for data retrieval.
- Query data from 3rd party products, applications, and tools using SQL queries.
- Build and use REST Web Services (REST API’s) for application integration.
- Bonus: Work with Portlets and/or Liferay for application development.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience producing high quality, user-friendly applications and supporting documentation in a multi-user environment.
- 5+ years of experience in development of Java/J2EE technologies including Servlets, JSP, XML processing
- 5+ years’ experience in front-end web development, with strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JSP and JavaScript required.
- Strong experience with JDBC for database connectivity.
- Understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL and/or SQL Server is required.
- Strong experience writing SQL queries to query data from 3rd party products, applications and tools.
- Experience building and using REST Web Services (REST API’s).
- Experience with Portlets and/or Liferay would be bonus.
