Job Description

Hello, Perceptyx! We have an exciting role - VP of Customer Sales. As the VP of Customer Sales, you will lead an awesome team of Customer Sales Executives, driving sales growth, retaining customers, and expanding client relationships within enterprise-level organizations by representing Perceptyx's product suite. Your expertise in meeting sales and renewal targets will be critical to the success of the organization. Your role is crucial in leading, growing, and renewing business within the existing customer base while providing guidance and support to the sales team.

Areas of impact include:

  • Define and assist in the execution of specific expansion sales strategies for the Customer Sales team across the assigned accounts. You will meet and exceed sales goals (quotas) through strategic prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities within business units’ divisions and the overall enterprise
  • Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect, and assess sales and move a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline supporting the Customer Sales team on deal strategy, management and contract negotiations
  • Define and assist in the execution of renewal strategies to achieve an annual renewal target of 95% across the assigned customer accounts
  • Responsible for customer renewals and for leveraging those renewals to expand customer revenue, contract term and ensure that all relevant contract language is in place upon renewal
  • Proactively and consistently coach and train members of the Customer Sales team in sales practices working closely with revenue leadership, growth enablement and product marketing
  • Achieve at least 3x sales pipeline for your team working in collaboration with Perceptyx customer teams
  • Ensure the Customer Sales team is proactively managing and tracking customer and transactional information daily in Salesforce, and leveraging other systems as necessary
  • Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including product support, operations, professional services and solution architects
  • Work closely with the customer account teams to identify customer expansion opportunities and upcoming renewals at all times ensuring strong communication and collaboration with customer account team and leadership
  • Nurture and expand the company’s relationship with business units, divisions and the overall enterprise and work closely with the Executive Sponsors for each client with the broader Perceptyx customer team

Requirements

  • Extensive Sales Experience: Possesses 8-10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, ideally in the SaaS domain, with a track record of success in selling to large enterprise accounts. Demonstrated ability to handle complex sales, negotiate effectively, and strategize to close seven-figure deals while expanding existing customer revenue.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with employee experience solutions, data analytics, HCM platforms, and enterprise employee engagement platforms is preferred.
  • Proven Performer: Consistently exceeds expansion sales goals within a defined customer account base, showcasing a history of overachievement.
  • Sales Enthusiast: Possesses an unwavering passion and determination to expand a customer's utilization of the Perceptyx platform and products to maximize revenue. Demonstrates strong hunting and closing skills, particularly within an existing customer base.
  • Excellent Communication: Proficient in not only knowing what to say but also how to articulate ideas effectively, ensuring clear and persuasive communication.
  • Highly Driven: Exhibits a strong sense of urgency and a deep belief in Perceptyx's mission. Driven to execute tasks with a focus on results, going beyond mere relationship management.

Compensation: Perceptyx is focused on equitable pay for all our staff and aims for transparency with our pay practices. This position has an OTE's ranging from $350K - $400K. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, geographic/office location and current compensation.
