We are currently seeking an experienced and energetic Strategic Account Manager for our Industrial product line who has a passion for technology, cultivating business relationships and being a strong contributor to our Sales Department.

Summary:

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with our existing customers. Your primary goal will be to drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize cross-selling opportunities for our products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within assigned accounts.
  • Regularly engage with customers through calls, emails, meetings, and other communication channels to understand their needs, challenges, and expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for these strategic accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service.

Account Planning:

  • Develop comprehensive and strategic account plans for each key customer, outlining objectives, targets, and growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other relevant departments to align account plans with overall company goals.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate account performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Understand the customer's product lifecycle. Continues customer education via our product road maps.

Sales Growth and Cross-Selling:

  • Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts, promoting additional products, services, and solutions that align with customer needs.
  • Regularly present product demonstrations and conduct sales presentations to showcase the value and benefits of our offerings.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with key customers to optimize revenue and maintain customer loyalty.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Analyze data and sales metrics to derive insights and make data-driven decisions to improve sales performance.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing campaigns and promotional activities to support key account sales efforts.
  • Coordinate with the customer support and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and timely resolution of issues.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account-related information using CRM software.
  • Provide regular reports to the sales manager or leadership team, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities within assigned key accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing or related field and 3 years of experience in a sales position; OR a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in lieu of a 4-year degree; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of experience in technical product sales, preferred.
  • Business to Business (B2B) experience, preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally (20-30% domestic travel)
  • CRM experience is preferred.
