We are seeking a Director, PMO to play a pivotal role in our journey to become the world’s no 1 payments supply chain consultancy.

Role Overview:

The primary responsibility for CMSPI’s Director of Project Management Office is to drive exceptional delivery performance within the Consulting business. You will refine and embed scalable service delivery processes, project management methodologies, and professional services systems to deliver on CMSPI’s strategic goals. In this position, you will be responsible for refining and improving the framework within which service delivery projects are created, managed, and completed, driving adoption and compliance. You will enhance methodologies to encourage more seamless and time efficient management of client engagements that result in high-quality deliverables. You will ensure successful completion of projects and monitor the impact and effectiveness of the procedures implemented so we can achieve consistency, repeatability, and clear best practices. You will measure and report performance results across a variety of metrics and measures, including client engagement portfolio status, team utilization, eNPS, client retention, productivity, and associate engagement and be responsible for publishing some of CMSPI’s corporate KPI dashboards.

You will engage in the direct support, guidance, and development of the overall team, along with the Director, People Performance. You will also use prior experiences, as well as anecdotal and empirical data, to recommend initiatives to improve the implementation experience.

The key focus areas include:

  • Designing and implementing a center-of-excellence program, enhancing consulting project delivery methodologies, processes and tools.
  • Driving optimal team utilization through proactive resourcing and capacity planning.
  • Continuously increase velocity of successful Implementations Help our customers realize value faster and the company hit revenue targets by driving improved throughput, predictability, and quality of go-live implementations that delight our customers.
  • Member of the Service Delivery leadership team, responsible for building strong collaboration between Service Delivery, Finance, Sales, and other functions of the company, while personally contributing to the decision making and strategy of CMSPI.
  • Provide guidance and oversee a high-performing team of professional’s execution of client engagements.
  • Monitor the full portfolio of client engagements, actively managing RAID and escalating to senior leadership where required.
  • Ensuring all engagements follow the correct process, utilize designated resources, templates, and provide timely updates to internal and external clients.
  • Drive the use of Kimble, the PSA tool, Salesforce and Smartsheet and ensure updates are made in a timely manner.
  • Establish guidelines and provide oversight for resource allocation to client engagements.
  • Support the monitoring of planned versus actual resource utilization. Facilitate demand versus capacity reviews on a regular basis and escalate resourcing issues and risks to Director of People Performance.

Requirements

You are a great match if

  • 8+ years industry experience in Professional Services Project Management, Client Service Delivery, or Enterprise PMO development and management with at least 3+ years at a team leadership level.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing projects, priorities, and/or time sensitive issues.
  • Ability to motivate, influence and lead others through a variety of deliverables.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and demonstrable experience of undertaking and summarizing statistical analysis of multiple data sources.
  • Client facing project management experience a must with consulting/advisory services desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effectively communicating with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
