SALT Dental Collective provides support services to Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic practices throughout the U.S. We are currently seeking a Pediatric Billing Manager to join our Revenue Cycle Management. This individual will report directly to the Senior RCM Manager. Provide training, mentoring as well as conducting performance evaluations, manage and balance billing workloads, oversee schedules and overtime of direct reports. This individual will follow a metric-driven environment to meet goals and to help the team perform in all areas of RCM. This role requires strong leadership, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

The Pediatric Billing Manager performs a variety of tasks and duties including, but not limited to:

  • Navigate multiple practice management softwares including but not limited to: Dentrix, Ascend, Open Dental, Eaglesoft and Denticon
  • Manage the Pediatric team in their day-to day performance and operations. Working directly with the supervisors and team, assigning tasks, discussing KPI’s, helping the team to meet all goals and training where needed
  • Maintain a strong understanding of federal and state regulations, and ensure compliance within the billing department
  • Responsible for distributing workload between direct reports
  • Analysis of Pedo billing reports and dashboards to create actionable steps for team members performance
  • Schedule and lead weekly team meetings
  • Perform regular 1:1’s with all direct reports to review individual key metrics and goals
  • Hire, train and supervise billing staff
  • Analysis of Pedo and Ortho billing reports and dashboards to create actionable steps for team member’s performance
  • Oversee and handle escalated accounts, concerns, and requests
  • Oversee claims for all PMS account
  • Make recommendations for write-offs of aged or disputed balances where appropriate
  • Manage billing, patient statements, posting, and collections
  • Hands on knowledge and experience of posting functions, credit balance resolution, daily cash deposit/posting reconciliation
  • Collaborate with internal departments on creating processes
  • Monitor and manage all RCM KPIs and ensure team’s adherence
  • Meet all goals for Metrics, collections, DSO, and more
  • Responsible for daily and monthly reconciliation
  • Manage weekly patient statement schedule amongst the Pedo team
  • Daily, weekly and monthly assignment of AR reports and supervise claims follow up
  • Project Management
  • Driving force to building and maintaining relationships with practices’ staff and operations
  • Maintaining a dedicated and quiet workspace (office) from home with no interruptions or distractions to complete your tasks during the workday
  • Maintains strict confidentiality, adheres to all HIPPA guidelines/regulations
  • Meet deadlines and manage urgent requests/projects from management
  • All other duties assigned

Qualifications:

· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Must have experience in dental claims processing

· Minimum of 5 years management experience preferred

· Revenue Cycle Manage and/or DSO experience a plus

· Proficient in computers Denticon and Ascend experience preferred

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

· Well-organized, detail oriented, diligent work ethic, and proficient computer skills

· 5+ years of experience successfully managing teams

· Experience in training/coaching teams

· Demonstrated leadership with an ability to motivate direct reports

· Experience working with 3rd party clearing house and outsourced vendors

· Able to identify and analyze issues and problems, recommend, and implement solutions to improve workflows

· Thorough understanding of policies and procedures used in accounts receivable and dental billing
