Job Description

Kollabio, a growing boutique consulting firm that provides Digital Transformation solutions and services to public and private sector organizations, is seeking a mid-level or senior Business Analyst / Product Owner to support the analysis, design and development of digital solutions for Federal agencies.

As a Business Analyst/Product Owner, you will shape and execute the product vision in collaboration with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Success requires a natural curiosity, ability to define and decompose problems, data-driven insights, and design thinking frameworks to rapidly define and launch minimally viable products and features. This is a mid-senior level position that provides ample opportunity to grow while coaching and mentoring other members of a growing team.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about turning complex business requirements into working software that delights users.
  • Humble but opinionated. You have lots of ideas, yet you are happy to shift directions when a better path emerges. You take your work much more seriously than you take yourself.
  • An active collaborator. You want feedback on your work early and often, and you get a kick out of a collaborative process because it challenges you to do better work.
  • Engaging beyond 1s and 0s. You understand that empathizing with our customers, building relationships with your co-workers, and going deep on the product makes you a better teammate and a better engineer.
  • A professional who believes in the principles of the Reactive Manifesto and who is excited about the vision to develop high scalable cloud-native software

Responsibilities:

  • Work with software developers, technical architects, and support personnel to develop scope documents, design documents, storyboards, and process flow diagrams.
  • Conduct discovery sessions, interviews, and workshops to explore business needs and elicit corresponding business requirements from the customers.
  • Facilitate delivery of end-to-end user experience solutions focused on user needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that software solutions meet the highest quality standards and align with business needs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes that reduce cycle time and improve quality and impact of development efforts.
  • Assist the Scrum Master/Product team to meet the objectives of each Sprint.
  • Responsible for verifying and accepting user stories during each Sprint.
  • Assist in defining, grooming, and accepting user stories in Jira (Atlassian)
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
