The Human Resources (HR) Department is looking for a highly organized individual with strong interpersonal skills for an HR Assistant II position. The successful candidate will be looking to grow their career in the field of Human Resources and will gain exposure to various areas of HR including talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, and compliance. This role enjoys the flexibility of telecommuting up to three days per week along with participating in the Authority’s comprehensive benefits program. In your typical day you will:

  1. Complete and/or assist with recruitment efforts and the selection process, including coordinating interviews, and assisting with the preparation of interview materials.
  2. Assist with facilitating the onboarding processes and processing offboarding tasks for separating employees.
  3. Complete data entry, process pay increases, and other employee-related information changes.
  4. Interpret and communicate human resources (HR) information and processes; assist with HR outreach efforts.
  5. Assist with preparing for new hire orientation, creating employee newsletters, administering coaching plans through the Authority’s performance management system, and assist with administering the organization’s learning management system (LMS).
  6. Prepare reports and presentations; maintain records, data, I9 documentation, and personnel files.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to recognize and verbalize priorities and help to execute on them in a fast-paced environment.
  1. Technology: Proficient use of Human Resources Information Systems. Ability to complete various employee changes.

Requirements

Required Experience, Training and Education:

  • Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Three years of increasingly responsible human resources administrative experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business administration, human resources, or a closely related field.
  • SHRM-CP, aPHR, or PHR designation.

The starting hiring salary for this position minimum is $52,444.

The pay range of an HR Assistant II is $44,824 - $71,718.
