In this position, you play an integral role in creating quality apartments for our residents to call home for years to come. You will work with our team in new construction, building apartments from the ground up. To be successful in this role you must be reliable, detail-oriented, and communicate effectively.
Salary: $24-35/hr
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize the production site, put the coils
- Load the profiles and take measurements of the studs
- Install, exchange, align, and lock specified punches, dies, or other fixtures on the studs
- Inspect completed workpieces for defects (e.g. jagged edges or marred surfaces).
- Grease all equipment, maintain all fluids, blow out all air filters, change oils, and fill with fuel
- Properly discard scrap and/or defected materials that are not serviceable.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience as a machine operator.
- Experience using machinery
- Be able to read specs and blueprints.
- Experience with steel studs and welding is a plus.
- Be a fast-learner.
- Mechanic experience.
- Knowledge of basic safety practices.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be able to work standing for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to reach, grasp, lift 75 pounds, and push/pull/slide heavy material.
- Proficient in using tools such as saws, sanders, drills, planers, etc. is a plus.
