Job Description

The Growth Marketing Manager will lead demand generation for Crayon with the goal of identifying, attracting, and nurturing qualified prospects. The ideal candidate will be a scrappy marketer who is comfortable wearing many hats from writing ad copy one minute to optimizing web traffic or creating sales collateral the next. This accomplished individual possesses the ability to successfully take programs from concept to execution. They understand and are comfortable optimizing marketing program spend, developing creative marketing campaigns, and measuring leads to closed opportunities. The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketer who looks to consistently iterate to improve performance.

This is a roll up your sleeves environment where you’ll jump into various marketing channels, experiment with new ideas, and work closely alongside other teams such as sales and product. This individual will report to the VP of Marketing.

A little about the job:

  • Manage our inbound and advertising marketing programs, including email marketing, webinars, paid advertising, and event sponsorships.
  • Partner with content marketing to develop campaigns from ideation through execution; including, but not limited to, copywriting for various marketing channels (email, blog, social media, web, etc.)
  • Partners with creative and product resources to create net new marketing assets and/or update existing material
  • Monitor and analyze performance against lead gen goals and over past performance and continually make and implement recommendations for optimization and ongoing growth.
  • Conducts frequent reporting and evaluation across campaigns to determine overall effectiveness, identifying areas of opportunity
  • Identify new optimization tests and growth opportunities for additional investments.
  • Monitors trends, implements best practices and tests new techniques to drive customer acquisition.
  • Owns budget for paid programs, forecasting growth and performance. Sets and updates budget caps to ensure we’re pacing properly based on predetermined spend.
  • Facilitate a strong working relationship with sales and product teams

Measures of your success:

The following key performance indicators shall be used:

  • Demo Request Volume. Through our inbound engine we’re consistently driving Crayon demo requests and are looking to steadily increase the number of demo requests per month/quarter.

Opportunities. Aligning with our sales team, we’re looking to increase opportunity quality and quantity to ultimately close more deals. The small but mighty marketing team works closely together to help ensure we’re meeting opportunity goals.

Requirements

A little about you:

  • 5+ years experience running a portfolio of high-quality lead generation and marketing programs; previous experience in a B2B SaaS startup preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with multiple forms of demand generation, including but not limited to ABM, email, website, SEO, SEM, social, and webinars
  • Growth Hacking mindset with the willingness and ability to creatively try new approaches and the quantitative discipline to measure these tests against known outcomes
  • Team player attitude comfortable providing strategy at a high level while simultaneously digging into the details
  • Experience with using Salesforce, email campaign management tools, marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot or Marketo
  • Experience with ad networks such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads and LinkedIn
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze and make meaning out of data and translate that into actionable changes
  • Track record and a strong approach to optimizing various programs, testing new ways of executing and channels, and making decisions based on objective data to keep refining programs and investments
  • Must have strong writing and copy editing skills, particularly as it relates to email, long form content, and web copy
  • Ability to establish and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative, innovative, proactive, and resourceful
