The Opportunity:

To help us amplify our mission, the Open Lending marketing team is looking for a Content Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing content marketing strategies that drive product positioning, engagement and consideration with our target audience. In this role, you will own the creation, assessment and refinement of messaging around Open Lending’s products. You'll help our prospects and clients move throughout their customer journey by creating relevant, high-impact, educational assets for each stage of that journey. You'll collaborate with our external creative agency and support our demand and events marketing teams by increasing organic web traffic and reinforce thought leadership in inbound marketing materials. Our ideal candidate is a creative marketing professional, preferably with a writing background. You should be able to develop engaging content to attract and retain customers. For this position, it’s also essential to be up to date with new technologies and marketing trends. This role reports to the VP of Marketing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute content marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead conversion
  • Engage stakeholders - product management, sales, enablement, and customer experience teams to align on messaging and marketing plans while contributing input to the product roadmap, sales enablement improvements and new marketing ideas
  • Drive the creation and versioning of high-impact, well-researched educational content for distribution across different channels
  • Collaborate with internal teams, like demand generation, events, campaigns, and sales, to produce content that resonates with target audiences
  • Partner with external design and writing teams to produce high-quality content
  • Help develop and maintain editorial calendars and content project plans
  • Write SEO-friendly, relevant content to improve organic visibility and traffic
  • Analyze web traffic metrics in collaboration with our Marketing Insights Manager
  • Own development and maintenance of a Sales Enablement Portal through which content is distributed to Sales and Account Management
  • Brief Sales team on new content available and ensure correct content is being used throughout the sales cycle
  • Ensure all content adheres to Open Lending’s brand and messaging guidelines

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
  • 5+ years of content or product marketing experience
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B marketing in direct support of sales teams
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
  • Ability to present clearly and concisely in front of executives, vendors, partners, press, analysts and customers.
  • A strong portfolio of content you've created; a plus if you can showcase content derivatives that tell a full campaign story and explain their results
  • Strong project management skills, keen eye for the details, and passion for keeping projects on schedule
  • Ability to acquire deep understanding of how Open Lending’s products work, and how to speak about them differently to each target audience vertical
  • Understand the automotive lending macroeconomy and interest in staying up to date with current events
  • Experience collaborating with external creative agencies
  • Experience working with HubSpot, WordPress and Google Analytics
