Lamp;L Metal Fabrication is seeking a skilled CNC Waterjet and Plasma Operator to join our team of accomplished craftsmen. As a member of our company, you will be working in a truly versatile metal fabrication environment, serving our customers with a virtually limitless range of fabrication options for metal products and equipment. Our new CNC Waterjet and Plasma Operator will be responsible for operating equipment to cut and shape metal in accordance with customer specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines, including setting cutting speeds and paths for waterjet and plasma cutters
- Produce parts and cut metal to customer specifications
- Inspect finished products and ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards
- Load and unload materials and equipment from the machines
- Maintain machines, including performing routine maintenance and basic repairs
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures when operating equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC waterjet and plasma cutters in a metal fabrication shop setting
- Proficient in G-code programming language to operate CNC machines
- Familiarity with CAD software a plus
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings
- Comfortable with basic math and measurements
- Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and precision in work
- Able to drive a forklift and safely handle materials.
- Willing to work a minimum of 45-50 hours per week Monday-Friday and half days on Saturdays as needed.
