The Role

Top Tier Catering Restaurant Manager role requires the planning and coordinating of all day-to-day activities required to run a high-touch catering and FOH operation, a hybrid of organizational efficiency and exceeding excellence in customer service. The Restaurant Manager will oversee two Brooklyn locations with a small and mighty team. The role leads by example in delivering on the ambitious standards set by the Owner, overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations; management of BOH and floor staff; and management of sales and profits. Reporting into the Owner/Executive Chef, the Restaurant Manager will work closely together to scale the business for two locations creating SOP’s and operational standards for all aspects of the business.

Requirements

  • 3+ years acting as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in luxury hospitality, food + beverage, or Restaurant environments.
  • Encompassing several spheres of hospitality - blending service excellence, innovation, creativity and operations the role calls upon but is not limited to: leadership by example, team building and guest rapport, alongside workflow and management of all Top Tier Catering operational functions.
  • Hold responsibility for long range strategic planning for all components of the Top Tier Catering Food and Beverage operational programs.
  • Proven leadership and professional development experience with teams of individuals from a variety of positions: cashiers, line cooks etc.
  • Manage and oversee daily planning and upkeep of operations to ensure an integrated, efficient, and profitable organization.
  • An innate understanding of high-touch customer service you are the consummate host and no detail in providing for guests, or our teams will go unnoticed.
  • The capacity to work within an ever-changing environment, assisting to develop operating procedures as the business dictates and the willingness to support in other areas as required to maintain the integrity of Top Tier Catering operations.
  • As an ultimate ambassador for Top Tier Catering brand will ensure customer relations for all Guests are executed to the highest level of service, resolving all customer complaints amp; correspondence as required.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, inventory, and cash control.
  • Pre and post service analysis of the cost effective and efficient allocation of staffing levels per location in relation to daily operations and or catering event bookings.
  • Assist Owners with recruitment, the establishment of operating systems and the onboarding and set up of training schedules with new staff.
  • Assist Owners in counting monthly inventory pars of OSamp;E, Uniforms amp; Linen.
  • Create an excellent work environment, the ability to bring a diverse group of humans from various experiences, countries, and cultures together centered upon teamwork and mutual respect.
  • Development and implementation of training manuals and materials for staff across the business.
  • Ongoing development of team members to ensure detailed product knowledge, growth and professionalism. Effective performance management and discipline of all staff.
  • Effective communication during pre-service briefings of information relating to all offerings, guests, and daily operations.
  • Set the standards of service unique to Top Tier Catering, consistently working to improve the delivery of service, implementing all systems to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Attend and coordinate daily / weekly amp; monthly operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  • Implement effective policies to ensure that overall FOH, Kitchen and BOH areas cleanliness meets State Health Code Standards, with the expectation of always passing a Grade A.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to stand for a long period of time.
  • Available to work late nights, as required.
