Located in Hillsboro, Oregon, M.L. Gatewood Company supplies spray nozzles and related equipment used on paper machines throughout the world. For over 60 years, M.L. Gatewood Co. has been a leader in the supply of equipment to this essential industry.
We know small parts make big contributions to the success of paper mills. Our nozzles are tested to ensure nozzle integrity, stream precision and performance quality. Our edge trimming machines, and water supply systems are precisely engineered to help ensure operator safety during paper production.
THE ROLE:
Under the supervision of the Production Manager/ Production Supervisor, we are currently searching for an Office Assistant/Production Clerk to work in our Hillsboro, OR location.
DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
- Purchasing of raw materials as needed to meet projected demand for production
- Maintain the office in terms of supplies and maintenance schedule
- Oversees import and export logistics
- Order entry
- General office duties including filing
- Updating customer information in system when required
- Shipping creating labels, reviewing invoices to ensure shipment accuracy, packing orders, sending emails when necessary
- Receiving and checking parts amp; raw material for quality
- Improves methods and processes to improve productivity and quality; reduce costs
- Assist Supervisor as required
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma; required
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel,
- Previous ERP/CRM experience an asset
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Team player
- Ability to multi task
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office and warehouse environment (65/35)
- Occasional exposure to warehouse environment
