About the Role:As a Senior Backend Engineer at Madison Logic, you will have the autonomy to manage and execute projects, with a keen focus on making informed technical decisions that align with the broader project and application framework. It's crucial to comprehend how these decisions impact other system components, maintaining a commitment to developing quality, scalable solutions. In this role, mentoring fellow engineers is a key responsibility, as senior engineers are regarded as pivotal technical mentors within the team. Your insights and expertise are valuable, and effective communication of your knowledge is essential. You will play a central role in a team dedicated to crafting and refining a top-tier application stack, with a special emphasis on data-driven APIs and the back-end software stack. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of innovation, balancing cutting-edge technology with user-friendliness.Responsibilities:- Experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Management: Candidates should possess a proven track record of collaborating effectively with Product Management and sales teams. This involves strategizing solutions and consistently delivering high-quality results within set timelines. The role demands understanding of Agile methodologies, with an emphasis on flexibility, responsiveness to change, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Code with a Focus on Quality: Candidates should have a thorough understanding of developing high-quality software and data products. This includes building products that excel in usability, accessibility, design, performance, and maintainability, ensuring excellence in every facet of software development.
- Work with Data Pipelines and Technologies: Applicants should have hands-on experience in managing data pipelines, encompassing both real-time and batch processing. Proficiency in working with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and cloud-based technologies is essential.
- Technical Definitions: Help the Leadership teams to provide tight, actionable, and provable specifications and stories to development
- Cloud Technologies: You can Demonstrate a firm grasp of what benefits and constraints cloud deployment imposes, including performance, cost management, security and privacy implications
- Communication: You must be a strong communicator.
- Release Management: Help design and build a process to ensure that product releases go smoothly and predictably
- Adopt automated and manual test strategies to ensure product quality
- Generating recyclable code libraries and frameworks
- Configuring the back-end usability of all front-end applications
- Help our team grow from your expertise, experience, and perspectives.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree plus 6+yrs experience as a Back-end/Node.js engineer or 8+yrs experience as a Back-end engineer
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, proficient in at least one additional coding language, including but not limited to Golang, Java, Python, C++, Rust
- Proficiency in RDBMS like databases, like MySQL, Postgres
- Curiosity towards new technology and outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems
- Good grasp of software engineering and how to build a system in scalable and extensive manner
- Have experience with Amazon Web Services
- Understanding of component-based development ideas, extensive experience with Angular, React, Vue.js, or any other equivalent library required
